At Adirondack Corp., we value the well-being and work-life balance of our employees. Our Vacation Policy ensures that eligible employees have the opportunity to take paid time off (PTO) for rest, travel, or personal needs while maintaining workplace efficiency.
Full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation after completing 90 days of continuous employment.
Part-time, temporary, and contract employees are not eligible for paid vacation benefits.
Vacation accrual and eligibility may vary based on position, tenure, or employment agreements.
Employees accrue vacation time based on their length of service with Adirondack Corp.:
Unused vacation days do not carry over into the next calendar year unless otherwise approved by management.
Employees cannot "cash out" unused vacation days, except in cases of employment termination where payout policies apply.
Employees must submit a Vacation Request Form to their supervisor or HR department at least two weeks in advance.
Vacation requests are granted on a first-come, first-served basis and must align with business needs.
Management reserves the right to decline or reschedule vacation requests based on operational demands.
If a company-recognized holiday falls within an employee’s scheduled vacation, the holiday will not be deducted from their vacation balance.
Employees will receive their regular base pay rate for approved vacation days.
Overtime, bonuses, or additional compensation do not apply to vacation pay.
Employees who resign or are terminated may be eligible for a payout of unused accrued vacation based on company policy and state regulations.
Employees who fail to provide proper notice (e.g., no-call/no-show resignations) may forfeit any unused vacation payout.
Adirondack Corp. reserves the right to modify this policy based on business needs or legal requirements. Any updates will be communicated to employees in advance.
