Definition of Sexual Harassment:
Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, unwanted sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, inappropriate comments, gestures, or physical contact, as well as any other conduct of a sexual nature that creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive work environment.
Policy:
Zero Tolerance: Adirondack Corp. has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment. Any employee found to be engaging in harassment will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Reporting Harassment: Employees who believe they have experienced or witnessed sexual harassment are encouraged to report the incident immediately to their supervisor, Human Resources, or another trusted manager. All complaints will be taken seriously and investigated promptly and confidentially.
No Retaliation: Adirondack Corp. prohibits retaliation against any employee who reports harassment or participates in an investigation. Retaliation is itself a serious violation of company policy and will result in disciplinary action.
Investigation and Resolution: All reports of sexual harassment will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate corrective actions will be taken based on the findings. Employees will be informed of the outcome of the investigation.
