At Adirondack Corp., we recognize the importance of time off for our employees to rest, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. This Holiday Policy outlines the paid holidays observed by the company, eligibility requirements, and other key guidelines.
Adirondack Corp. provides paid time off for the following recognized holidays:
New Year’s Day (January 1)
Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
Independence Day (July 4)
Labor Day (First Monday in September)
Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)
Christmas Day (December 25)
Additional holidays may be recognized at the company’s discretion.
To qualify for paid holiday leave, employees must meet the following requirements:
Be full-time, permanent employees (part-time and temporary employees are not eligible unless otherwise specified).
Must have worked their scheduled shifts before and after the holiday, unless pre-approved time off was granted.
Employees on unpaid leave, suspension, or extended absence are not eligible for holiday pay.
Eligible employees will receive their regular daily wage for each observed holiday.
Employees required to work on a holiday may receive additional compensation (holiday pay rates) as determined by the company.
Adirondack Corp. respects all religious beliefs and practices. Employees wishing to observe religious or cultural holidays not listed above may request unpaid leave or use their accrued paid time off (PTO).
Requests for time off should be submitted at least two weeks in advance for management approval.
Some employees may be eligible for floating holidays to accommodate personal or cultural observances.
Floating holidays must be used within the calendar year and cannot be carried over.
The company may modify its holiday schedule depending on business needs. Employees will be notified in advance of any changes.
In the event of essential work requirements during holidays, designated employees will be scheduled accordingly.
Employees should submit holiday leave requests through their supervisor or HR department as early as possible.
Requests are granted on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to business demands.
