This policy outlines how we handle requests from law enforcement agencies and other governmental authorities for information related to our business partners.

1. Purpose

This policy ensures that all requests from law enforcement are handled in a lawful, transparent, and responsible manner, balancing legal compliance with sub-contractor privacy rights.

2. Responding to Law Enforcement Requests

Adirondack Corp. may receive requests from law enforcement agencies or governmental bodies for information. We will only disclose information when:

A valid subpoena, court order, or warrant is presented.
The request is made under applicable federal, state, or local laws.
There is an immediate safety concern, such as a threat to life, property, or public safety.
Disclosure is legally required under business, tax, or contract laws.

A. Verification of Requests

Before disclosing any information, Adirondack Corp. will:

Verify the legitimacy of the request by confirming the identity of the requesting agency.
Consult legal counsel, if necessary, to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Limit disclosure to only the information that is legally required or essential for the investigation.

B. Notification to Sub-contractors

Whenever permitted by law, sub-contractors will be notified if their business or personal information is requested. If a non-disclosure order prevents notification, Adirondack Corp. will comply with the order but will seek to notify the sub-contractor at the earliest legally allowed opportunity.

3. Types of Disclosures

Depending on the nature of the request, Adirondack Corp. may be required to disclose:

Business records (contracts, invoices, and payment history).
Sub-contractor files (proof of insurance, licenses, or certifications).
Communication records related to specific projects (subject to legal and company privacy policies).
Access logs or security footage (if available and necessary for an investigation).

4. Partner Rights and Confidentiality

Adirondack Corp. is committed to:

Protecting sub-contractor privacy and only disclosing data when legally required.
Ensuring a fair and lawful response to all requests.

5. Compliance & Training

All authorized personnel handling law enforcement inquiries will receive proper training on how to respond lawfully and ethically. Adirondack Corp. will conduct periodic reviews of this policy to ensure it aligns with legal and regulatory changes.
